Sales Area:

Midlands & South, known as Area 51/WH02 – Leics, Shrops, Warks, West Midlands, Hereford & Worcs, Gloucs, Avon, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Mid & South Wales, Oxon, Milton Keynes, London, Essex, Herts, Bucks, Beds, Northants, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire. 


To maintain and increase business with existing customers and to develop Wholesale business by prospecting, opening and selling to new accounts within the listed territory. As a key member of the team you will need to be hard working with determination, drive and be motivated enough to work either alone or within a team as required.

Brand lines the chosen applicant will be responsible for selling will include Minetan, IBD, Orly, Clean & Easy, Gigi and selected lines of retail product.

Attendance will be required at all National Sales Meetings, exhibitions and all company organised training sessions.   

General good health, a high standard of personal appearance and a polite and friendly manner at all times will be essential for any applicant.

Ideally you need to be located in a part of the territory which is accessible to all areas and be prepared to travel. The role will involve overnight stays as appropriate.

Knowledge and experience within the Beauty/Nail Care industry is preferable.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

  • To promote the company and its products to its best advantage under guidance of the National Sales Manager; to acquire a thorough working knowledge of all company products and a thorough understanding of all their applications.

  • To meet agreed monthly sales targets for the territory and all KPI’s on a regular basis as set by the National Sales Manager.

  • Opening of new business accounts both Wholesale and College, to further develop given territory and contribute towards growth of company.

  • To plan coverage of the territory in the most effective and economic manner with the National Sales Managers direction.

  • Efficient administration of enquires, orders and other sales documents including any reports required by Salon division.

  • To report coherently and quickly any day to day activities, customer development and changing business trends, communicating customer complaints/satisfaction and competitors’ activity to the National Sales Manager.

  • To develop relationships with customers that further the relationship and standards attached to the company name by visiting regularly and carrying out product demonstration (where applicable) to both prospect and existing customers.

Other Tasks / Responsibilities

  • To keep knowledge of all company product and their applications including the sales presenter up to date through attending regular sales meetings, product training sessions and personal development.

  • To acquire and develop all necessary professional selling skills through meetings, training sessions and by discussion, reading and constant practice

  • Development and promotion of new product within existing and new accounts

  • To liaise whenever necessary with the National Sales Manager, Brand Co-ordinator/Managers, Customer Service Manager, Education Manager and Office Buddy to ensure a high level of customer service and advice are maintained

  • To liaise with National Sales Manager on day to day sales activities including quotations, prospecting new and key accounts

  • To have knowledge of market and competition within territory combined with strong commercial awareness

  • To have understanding of Wholesale discount structures and be able to efficiently negotiate and quote accordingly within guidelines set by National Sales Manager

  • Understanding of both the competitive market and customers business needs 

Performance Measure

  • Achievement of monthly sales target as issued  by National Sales Manger

  • All existing and prospect customer records to be up to date and contain full information.  Properly reported call record which specifies, in all cases, the objective of the call, by telephone or field visit and result.

  • Fully detailed call sheets and effective journey plan with at least 60% of calls forecast as firm appointments, to be received in advance by 1st of each month. Call sheets to be received every Monday before 11am by National Sales Manager.

  • An adequate, active file of new business prospects in negotiation, with record of movements until conclusion.

  • Achievement of Key Objectives and KPI’s

  • All key tasks and responsibilities

  • Retention and growth of satisfied customer base
